Spire Manchester is looking to recruit an experienced ODP/ Anaesthetics & Recovery practitioner to join their warm and friendly team on a bank basis. Spire Manchester Hospital is a £65m state-of-the-art healthcare facility offering you the opportunity to work across a wide variety of specialisms. You will be able to develop your clinical skills in a modern and progressive environment. The Manchester team currently consists of over 800 colleagues and we are rapidly expanding as we increase the scope of services we provide across our experienced and dynamic teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide exemplary planned care for patients and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre.
- Prepare the anaesthetic room for surgery in relation to equipment and supplies required for specific procedures.
- Ensure the Patient Record is completed in a timely and accurate way.
- Perform anaesthetic duties across a range of specialties.
- Supporting in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
- Assist in the delivery of care to meet the patient’s needs in an extremely busy department.
- Prepping the recovery bays and looking after patients after their surgery.
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
Who we're looking for:
- Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner.
- HCPC registered ODP or NMC (including the Anaesthetic module) registered Nurse.
- Working in teams and with minimum supervision.
- Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration/practitioner qualification and additional training.
