The OrthTeam Centre (OTC) in Manchester is looking for an experienced Administrator to join its friendly and dedicated team on a full-time, permanent basis. Located next to Spire Manchester Hospital, the OrthTeam Centre is a state-of-the-art outpatient and diagnostic facility. It is an exciting joint venture between OrthTeam Consultants and Spire Healthcare, bringing together specialist expertise and high-quality private healthcare services.

As an Administrator, you will play an important part in supporting the delivery of exceptional care to patients across a range of specialties, including orthopaedics, neurosurgery, neurology, sports and exercise medicine, and pain management. The centre provides outpatient consultations, diagnostic imaging and injection therapy services. You will work as part of a multi-functional team, helping to ensure that patients receive a professional, efficient and welcoming service throughout their journey.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week across the following shift patterns:

  • 7:45am to 3:45pm
  • 8:00am to 4:00pm
  • 10:00am to 6:00pm
  • 12:00pm to 8:00pm
  • 12:30pm to 8:30pm

One Saturday in every four. Flexibility across these shifts will be required.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing the highest standards of customer service and appropriate advice within a multi-functional department
  • Supporting the effective administration of patient care and services
  • Developing and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the OrthTeam Centre consultants’ practices and sharing relevant information appropriately
  • Working in accordance with all relevant policies, procedures and documented best practices established by the OrthTeam Centre, Spire Manchester Hospital and Spire Healthcare
  • Communicating professionally and sensitively with patients, consultants and colleagues
  • Maintaining accurate records and using internal administration systems effectively
  • Taking a positive and proactive approach to your ongoing professional development
  • Contributing to a supportive, efficient and patient-focused working environment

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Previous relevant experience in a multi-skilled administrative or patient-support role
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence using computers, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using internal administration systems, such as SAP
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment
  • A professional, compassionate and proactive approach
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Previous administrative experience within healthcare would be advantageous.
