Spire Regency is now recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join their warm and friendly team. There is a joining bonus of up to £500 available for this role. The Spire Regency Hospital in Macclesfield, Cheshire opened in 1991 and has a full multi-disciplinary medical team onsite. We practice some of the most advanced treatments on the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means we can offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading-edge surgical procedures across a range of specialist fields like orthopaedics, cosmetics and general surgery - all delivered through our expert and caring clinical teams. Situated off the A537 just outside Macclesfield town centre, we're a first choice hospital for patients in Cheshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Greater Manchester.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To assist the qualified nursing staff, under their supervision, in providing a high quality, comprehensive nursing service to all patients and users, ensuring a high standard of patient care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
- Contributing to the support and monitoring of patients.
- Identifying and reporting any significant changes that might affect the patient’s health and well-being to the appropriate person.
- Assisting with the movement of patients in line with clinic policies.
Who we're looking for:
- Previous experience of working as an HCA (or equivalent) in a hospital environment.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care / Care Certificate / NVQ Level 3 is desirable but not essential.
- Basic numeracy & literacy.
- Demonstrate a patient focused approach.
- Experience in: ECGs, taking blood/blood pressures and patient observations.
- Good teamwork ethic.
- Enthusiastic and energetic professional.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
