Spire Thames Valley Hospital is looking for a motivated and reliable Imaging Administrator to join our hardworking Radiology team on a Permanent basis. As an Imaging Administrator, you will help coordinate appointments, manage patient information and support the day-to-day administration of our busy Radiology department. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Welcome, register and book appointments for patients in a professional and caring manner
  • Manage radiology appointments using departmental booking and patient administration systems
  • Coordinate imaging bookings and amend appointments where required
  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries efficiently and courteously
  • Prepare and collate documentation ahead of patient appointments
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information across relevant systems
  • Liaise with consultants, radiographers, GPs and hospital departments regarding referrals and appointments
  • Monitor administrative processes to ensure information is complete and up to date
  • Assist with general departmental administration and office tasks
  • Provide patients with appointment information and relevant guidance

Contract: Permanent

Days/Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week. Radiology services operate between 8am and 8pm. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm or 12pm to 8pm.

Who we're looking for:
  • Previous administration experience within a busy working environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Confident using computer systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications
  • Professional, reliable and able to manage competing priorities
  • A positive and approachable manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new systems and processes
  • Previous healthcare experience is beneficial but not essential; we also welcome applications from candidates with strong customer service experience who are keen to develop a career within healthcare.
  • Experience using booking systems or patient administration systems would be advantageous
