The Montefiore Hospital is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Business Development Manager to join the team on a full-time, 12-month fixed term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to drive growth, strengthen key partnerships, and support the hospital’s strategic objectives within a leading private healthcare provider.
The Montefiore Hospital is a premium provider of private healthcare in Hove, East Sussex. We practice some of the most advanced treatments with the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means we can offer everything from screening, rehabilitation and cutting-edge surgical procedures across a variety of specialist treatments which are all delivered through our expert and caring clinical teams.
Working hours: Core hours 9-5 Mon-Fri some flexibility required for events.
The highly visible role of Business Development Manager (BDM) will be a key contact for existing and prospective consultants. Results driven and responsive, the BDM will provide a range of support functions across the Hospital and business development landscape targeting activity growth and performance improvement. This support will include Consultant engagement, consultant commercial support and will support the growth strategy as defined by the local SMT and Business Development Director (BDD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver business development strategies to grow revenue and increase market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, GPs, referrers, and key external stakeholders.
- Identify new business opportunities and promote hospital services across the local healthcare market.
- Analyse performance data and market trends to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support service development and patient pathway improvements.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a business development, sales, or commercial role (ideally within healthcare).
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially astute with a track record of delivering against targets.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.
