Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the qualified nursing staff, under their supervision, in providing a high quality, comprehensive service to all patients and users, ensuring a high standard of patient care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
- Undertake basic observations of patients’ vital signs, Bloods and perform ECGs.
- Record information related to designated tasks accurately and pass it on to the relevant person in the team on time.
- Identify and report any significant changes that might affect the individual’s health and wellbeing to the appropriate person.
Who we're looking for:
- Previous experience of working as an HCA (or equivalent) in a clinical environment.
- Experience in the following: ECGs, taking blood/blood pressures and patient observations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Care Certificate.
