CT and MRI Team Lead

Spire Edinburgh Murrayfield Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an MR/CT Team Lead to join our Imaging team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MRI and CT Radiographer who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role, overseeing our MR and CT services while further developing their career within a supportive and progressive healthcare environment. As Radiology Team Lead, you will play a key role in maintaining high clinical standards, supporting and developing colleagues, and ensuring the delivery of a professional, patient-focused imaging service. We are looking for a motivated and experienced radiographer with strong leadership skills, a commitment to quality, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care. Duties and responsibilities

• Lead and support the delivery of high-quality CT and MRI services in line with departmental protocols.
• Perform MRI and CT examinations while ensuring safe, effective patient care.
• Provide clinical leadership, supporting the development of patient-centred care across complex caseloads.
• Act as a role model, developing the skills, knowledge and performance of the imaging team.
• Promote best practice in clinical governance, health and safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity.
• Drive service improvement initiatives, quality assurance and the effective use of imaging technologies.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with departmental, regulatory and governance standards.
• Build strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders to support service delivery.
• Support people management activities, including performance, wellbeing and development of direct reports.
• Oversee PACS/RIS data quality and contribute to the ongoing development of the Imaging service.

Who we’re looking for

• Degree (BSc Hons) or equivalent.
• HCPC Registered.
• Experience within CT/MRI.
• Experience leading a team.
• Experience of providing image guidance in theatre in addition to general X-ray imaging.
• A willingness to participate in a flexible rota for evening and weekend duties plus on-call from home.
• Drive to improve service delivery and wanting the best for patients and staff.
• Think strategically while being commercially astute.
• Initiative and ownership.
