Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital are seeking a Theatre Healthcare Assistant to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
Duties and responsibilities
- Supporting Nurses and Consultants during procedures
- Assisting scrub nurses within theatre
- Providing patient support within the anaesthetic room
- Transporting patients to and from the ward
- Opening sterile packs
- Preparing and checking instruments prior to procedures
- Assisting with equipment ordering
- Maintaining theatre cleanliness and supporting infection control
- Contributing to safe, high‑quality care delivery
Who we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant in theatre is desirable
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent, such as Care Certificate)
- A caring, compassionate approach with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication and the ability to work effectively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
