Spire Parkway Hospital have an exciting new vacancy for an experienced Stores team leader to join the team on a full-time basis. As Stores Lead you will be responsible to co-ordinate and control the supply of all stock and supplies to the hospital departments ensuring the timely delivery, accurate and efficient processes achieving company KPI measures.
Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):
- To maintain adequate stock levels for the site and liaising with both the National Distribution Centre (NDC) and external suppliers as required.
- To provide an efficient, effective and flexible distribution service throughout the hospital, maintaining a courteous and helpful approach.
- Day-to-day management and supervision of the Stores Assistants.
- Support the theatre team to ensure all loan kit has been arranged/booked and received in advance of upcoming procedures.
- Daily stock count and control, daily top up counts to replenish stock, notifying departments of any back orders, liaising with staff for alternatives if required and day-to-day functionality of the stores department.
- Co-ordinate the logistical movement of all goods, (stock/non stock items), supplies, linen, post and waste around the site.
- Complete quarterly stock takes.
Who we are looking for:
- Experience in a supplies or stores environment is essential.
- Previous management / supervisory experience is essential.
- Awareness and understanding of Health & Safety at Work and COSHH.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- IT literate and a competent user of the MS Office suite of products.
- High degree of accuracy and a methodical approach to workload.
- Highly numerate.
