Spire Methley Park Hospital are looking to recruit a Hospital Porter to join our fantastic Facilities Team.

Please note, the role requires a full clean driving licence.

Contract Type: Bank

Working Hours: Hours to be worked on combination of shifts between Monday and Sunday (7:00 am to 3 pm AND 2 pm to 10 pm). Weekends will be required to cover annual leave and sickness.

As Hospital Porter you will work as multi-skilled member of the team providing high level, quality support to the hospital working with the minimum of supervision, covering any of the courier, portering, theatre, cleaning and security duties.

Spire Methley Park Hospital situated in Methley in South Leeds, has recently completed a 7.6 million refurbishment, which included a new theatre equipped with cutting-edge technology enabling us to carry out complex surgery across a variety of clinical specialties. At Spire Methley Park Hospital caring for our patients is at the heart of what we do. We provide expert medical care in our modern, well-equipped hospital for all of our patients.

Duties and responsibilities;

• With a strong focus on Customer Service and providing a friendly ear to patients during what can sometimes be a particularly unsettling time, our team of Porters provide a vital service in our Hospital
• Although escorting patients in a safe and friendly manner is a key function you will also be required to perform a number of varied duties such as managing incoming and outgoing post and deliveries, all waste collection and disposal (including clinical)
• You will also be responsible for the movement of all goods and equipment when required and any additional tasks as requested
