About the role: Responsible for leading the development and execution of the hospital’s financial strategy, translating it into operational practice and delivering on business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Hospital Director and Senior Management Team to develop the hospital's business strategy.
- Lead the translation and implementation of the strategy into operational practice, delivering on business objectives and annual operating plans for P&L and working capital.
- Deliver insightful analysis to support decision‑making and improve performance.
- Support and develop the financial, operational and commercial decision‑making of staff and teams throughout the hospital.
- Add value by encouraging managers to push boundaries, promote risk‑taking and deliver differentiated services to consultants and patients.
- Support business development by maximising resource allocation to enable the hospital to expand into existing and new markets.
- Provide decision support, financial and operational reporting to ensure efficient, effective and compliant hospital operations.
- Promote a commercial culture of continuous improvement to deliver the highest quality processes and services.
- Ensure appropriate processes and structures for robust data collection and delivery of accurate, meaningful monthly performance management information.
- Ensure the efficient and profitable delivery of patient services and NHS contracting.
Qualifications and Experience:
