Spire Wellesley offers a unique opportunity for an Orthopaedics Scrub Practitioner/SFA to join our experienced and dynamic team. You will work across a wide range of specialisms, developing your clinical skills in a modern and supportive environment while working 37.5 hours per week. The Wellesley hosts three theatres (two laminar‑flow) and an endoscopy unit, with a 33-bed surgical ward that covers Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Gynae, Ophthalmology, Spinal, Urology, and ENT. Recent refurbishment has upgraded the theatre environment and introduced cutting‑edge technology.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Registered Nurse or ODP with major orthopaedic experience, plus SFA training.
- The operating theatres are busy throughout the day, with a diverse workload that creates a dynamic working environment.
- The role is full‑time, covering 37.5 hours a week on a rota.
- Staff are encouraged to be multi‑skilled, ideally working across scrub, anaesthetics, and/or recovery.
- Specialists may focus on one or two areas, but experience in a variety of surgical procedures or a willingness to learn new techniques under expert supervision is essential.
- Procedures will include general, ophthalmology, bariatric, urology, gynaecology, and more.

- Registered with NMC/HCPC; pin must have no restrictions or conditions.
- Minimum of 1 year of major orthopaedic scrub experience.
