We are seeking a Maintenance Estate Engineer to work as part of the engineering team providing a comprehensive, cost‑effective maintenance service within Spire Nottingham Hospital. The role involves repair, maintenance, and installation of all plant, equipment, systems and building structure/fabric. You will undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance, testing and calibration, fault finding, defect correction and support the on‑call emergency rota.
Main Duties
- To undertake maintenance/testing/troubleshooting of plant/equipment, ensuring compliance with current HTM recommendations/PPM schedules and manufacturer instruction, including but not limited to:
- Building and Minor Electrical Responsibilities
- Water Responsibilities
- Ventilation System Responsibilities
- Medical Gas Responsibilities
- Decontamination Responsibilities
General Duties
Working Hours
Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:00, with 1 Sunday in every 4 weeks on an on‑call rota.
Qualifications
Recognised apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with C&G qualification in Electrical/Mechanical field. Relevant certificates or willingness to undertake specialist training.
Experience
Significant experience in building services management with a track record of success. Extensive knowledge of building services. Able to prioritise demands against resources. Able to support hospital compliance with changing legislation.
