To work as part of the engineering team providing a comprehensive engineering and maintenance service within the hospital, which ensures a safe environment for all Patients, Visitors, Staff and Contractors. The role will require repair, maintenance or installation of all plant, equipment, systems and building structure/fabric.

Main duties of the job:

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • Testing and calibration
  • Fault finding
  • Defect correction
  • Supporting the emergency on call on a rota basis

Role:

To undertake maintenance/testing/troubleshooting of plant/equipment, ensuring compliance with current HTM recommendations / PPM Schedules and manufacturers' instructions.

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00, 1 Sunday in every 4 On Call Rota

  • Served a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with C&G Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical field
  • Hold relevant certificates or be willing to undertake specialist training in specific areas
  • Significant experience in building services management with a track record of success
  • Extensive knowledge of building services
  • Able to prioritise demands against resources
  • Able to support hospital compliance with changing legislation
