Spire Leicester Hospital is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Nurse - CYP to join our team. Your Role: As a Specialist CYP Nurse, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, planned care for children, young people, and their families
- Assess and manage a diverse and evolving paediatric caseload
- Champion and actively promote family-centred care
- Act as a strong advocate for children’s rights, equality, and safeguarding
- Communicate complex and sensitive information with clarity and empathy
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes
- Support the development and improvement of CYP services
- Maintain the highest standards of infection prevention, safety, and clinical practice
Who We’re Looking For: You’ll be a confident and caring paediatric nurse who thrives in a patient-focused environment:
Qualifications & Training
- Registered Children’s Nurse (RCN)
- Child Protection Level 3 training
- Paediatric Resuscitation (EPALS or equivalent)
- Working towards a relevant post-registration qualification (desirable)
Experience & Skills
- Recent experience in an acute paediatric setting
- Strong clinical reasoning across complex paediatric cases
- Experience working both independently and as part of a team
- Skilled in children’s phlebotomy
- A passion for safeguarding and family-centred care
