Spire Clare Park Hospital is recruiting a Bank Surgical Ward Healthcare Assistant to support our Surgical Ward team on a flexible, bank basis. Shifts will predominantly be nights and weekends.

Main duties

  • You will support registered nurses in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care on the Surgical Ward.
  • Duties include assisting with personal care, monitoring and recording observations, ECGs, phlebotomy (where trained), manual handling and general ward support in line with clinical standards and care plans.

Requirements

  • Previous hospital-based surgical HCA experience (essential)
  • Phlebotomy experience (desirable)
  • NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)
  • Professional, caring and patient-focused approach
  • Flexible availability for ad hoc shifts, including long days and occasional nights
