Spire Alexandra Hospital has an exciting opportunity to join the staffing bank as a Healthcare Assistant covering the wards and outpatients as required. Duties and responsibilities:
- To assist the qualified nursing staff, under their supervision, in providing a high quality, comprehensive nursing service to all patients and users, ensuring a high standard of patient care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
- Contributing to the support and monitoring of patients.
- Identifying and reporting any significant changes that might affect the patient's health and well-being to the appropriate person.
Who we are looking for:
- Previous experience of working as an HCA (or equivalent) in a hospital environment.
- Theatre/minor ops, surgical or OPD experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in: ECGs, taking blood/blood pressures and patient observations.
- Good teamwork ethic.
- Enthusiastic and energetic professional.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care / Care Certificate / NVQ Level 3 is desirable.
Contract: Bank - 0 hours contract
