Spire Nottingham Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Healthcare Assistant to join the bank team. Duties and responsibilities:

  • To assist the multi-disciplinary operating team to provide exemplary care by offering a timely portering service.
  • The service will include escorting patients between ward, departments and theatre suite; transporting equipment, medical records, meals, specimens and linen; moving furniture.
  • Routine tasks related to patient’s health and well being.
  • Production and communication of information and knowledge.
  • Contribute to own personal development.
  • Assist in maintaining own and others' health and safety and security.
  • Assist in maintaining and developing services.
  • Ensure own actions help to maintain quality.
  • Ensure own actions support equality, diversity and rights.
  • Move patients, surgical equipment and goods.
  • Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.
