Spire Hartswood Hospital is recruiting for a Hand Therapist to join the bank and provide exemplary planned care for patients. Are you looking for part-time hours to supplement your work week? You will be required to run a day/evening clinic based in outpatients, treating post operative and non-surgical caseload.
Spire Hartswood Hospital is a 49 bed hospital with 4 theatres and offers a comprehensive range of services and facilities. Duties and responsibilities:
- To take the lead role in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal/ Hand and Wrist patients.
- Provide specialist education and teaching.
- To contribute towards departmental research and audit in this clinical area.
- To ensure the teams deliver effective care to clients, presenting with musculoskeletal injuries by providing excellent clinical and organisational leadership.
- To act as a Specialist Hand Therapist resource for the multi-disciplinary team within Spire Healthcare.
- To promote and assist in marketing of service developments to GP\'s, Consultants and external agencies.
- To undertake evidence based projects, including recommendations for changes in practice.
Who we\'re looking for:
- Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapist) or equivalent
- Post-Graduate learning in musculoskeletal programme
- Post graduate experience in Hand Therapy
- Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied caseloads
- Experience of working in partnership with consultants and participating in creating innovative solutions for new services
- Competence across a range of Hand Therapy, management and leadership skills supported by highly skilled professional and specialist knowledge in the field of MSK
