This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist or experienced Physiotherapy Team Lead seeking a new challenge.
The role combines hands-on clinical practice with the leadership, management and development of a high-performing outpatient physiotherapy service.
The Role
As Physiotherapy Team Lead, you will provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for the outpatient physiotherapy service, ensuring the delivery of outstanding patient care while supporting the continued growth and success of the department.
You will lead a team of physiotherapists and support staff, maintain clinical excellence, and work collaboratively with consultants, multidisciplinary teams, and hospital leadership to deliver a first-class patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the outpatient physiotherapy team, providing professional and clinical leadership.
- Deliver high-quality physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation across a varied caseload.
- Ensure the department meets clinical governance, quality and safety standards.
- Support service development and identify opportunities for growth.
- Support recruitment, training and mentoring of physiotherapy colleagues.
- Build strong relationships with consultants, referrers and key stakeholders.
- Maintain excellent patient outcomes and patient satisfaction levels.
- Promote evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
- Support in inpatient where required
- Who We're Looking For
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
- Current HCPC registration with no restrictions.
- Significant post-registration physiotherapy experience.
- Previous experience working within an outpatient musculoskeletal physiotherapy setting.
- Leadership or management experience within a physiotherapy service.
- Strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills.
- Experience managing a varied caseload independently.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for team development and delivering exceptional patient care.
Desirable
- Experience within private healthcare.
- Previous responsibility for service development and business growth.
- Injection therapy, sports physiotherapy or advanced MSK qualifications.
- Experience supporting students, junior physiotherapists or clinical supervision programmes.
