We have an exciting opportunity for a Stores Assistant to join our Stores team on a permanent basis to support the stores department in the control and supply of all stock/supplies to hospital departments ensuring timely delivery, accurate and efficient processes and achieving company KPI measures. This is a permanent, part-time role, working 25 hours per week – Monday-Friday 7am -12pm.
Spire London East Hospital (formerly Spire Roding) is located in Redbridge, on the borders of East London and Essex. We offer comprehensive private hospital services, ranging from outpatient clinics and physiotherapy to surgery and diagnostic tests in a relaxed, clean and comfortable environment. The hospital has 24 inpatient beds and 16‑day case rooms called ‘pods’. Facilities include four operating theatres, an endoscopy suite, 2 extended recovery unit, pharmacy, x‑ray, outpatient and diagnostic facilities.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Daily stock control
- Liaising with both the National Distribution Centre (NDC) and external suppliers as required
- Order all stock and non‑stock items for all departments to be delivered from the NDC, or appropriate approved external supplier in line with supply management processes and procedures and in a timely fashion to ensure delivery when required
- Receive delivery of stock from each vendor, ensuring correct administration on SAP and in paper form for robust audit trails matching the goods to the PO and raising and resolving queries as they arise
- Distribute stock/non stock items to departments
- Arrange for returns and credit notes where applicable
