Spire Bushey Hospital is seeking an experienced Inpatient Physiotherapist to join our established Physiotherapy team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated clinician with strong acute and post-operative rehabilitation experience to play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care within a leading private hospital.

The hospital offers a premium service in key areas of complex healthcare including orthopaedics, neurology, spinal, general, cardiac care, and gynaecology.
Spire Bushey Hospital forms part of a 4 site portfolio, and is supported by and works alongside Spire Bushey Diagnostic Centre, Elstree Cancer Centre and Spire Pathology Centre – based on Centennial Park in Elstree - just 5 minutes from the main hospital site.
Duties and responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, develop individualised treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions for inpatient populations.
- Provide high-quality physiotherapy treatment, rehabilitation, education, and advice to patients to optimise recovery and functional outcomes.
- Independently manage a varied inpatient caseload, working as an autonomous practitioner while maintaining clinical excellence and professional standards.
- Deliver safe, effective, and timely post-operative physiotherapy care to support patient mobilisation, recovery, and discharge planning.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including consultants, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to provide coordinated patient-centred care.
- Monitor, evaluate, and adjust treatment programmes in response to patient progress and changing clinical needs.
- Support the prevention of complications associated with reduced mobility through early intervention and rehabilitation strategies.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical records in line with professional, legal, and organisational requirements.
- Contribute to safe discharge planning and facilitate smooth transitions of care to community, outpatient, or specialist rehabilitation services.
- Provide guidance, education, and support to patients, families, and carers to promote recovery and independence.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuous professional development activities.
- Support outpatient physiotherapy services as required, ensuring continuity of care and service delivery across the department.
- Who we’re looking for
- Degree (BSc Hons in Physiotherapy) or equivalent.
- Experience of assessing diagnosing and treating a range of patients/cases
- At least 3 years Hospital (NHS or Private) experience is essential for this role – post graduate experience
- Experience working with multi disciplinary teams
- Evidence of applying effective clinical reasoning strategies to complex cases with supervision
- Post graduate experience as a Physiotherapist across a range of specialties Experience of independently managing/prioritising case loads
- Trained on MS Office and other relevant packages
- Possess Equipment and Medical Devices and any additional competences relevant to job role.
- Possess the Mandatory Training inc Infection Control competences and health and safety
- Evidence of continual professional development
- English language to IELTS 7.0 D Root cause analysis
