Spire Southampton has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their friendly and welcoming Cardiac department. The successful applicant will work in a team that provides high quality evidence-based nursing care in ward-based settings. You must be flexible to work a variety of shifts across days and nights and weekends. Spire Southampton Hospital offers world‑class care, attracting patients from across the South of England and internationally. We deliver some of the best cardiac surgery results in the country. Our Critical Care department and multidisciplinary team offer you peace of mind for our wide range of treatments.
Duties and responsibilities
- To support staff, ensuring high standards of effective cardiac care are delivered to all patients on the Cardiac ward.
- Assist in the delivery of care to meet the individuals’ health and wellbeing needs.
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
- Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
- Promote best practice in health and safety and security.
- Assist in maintaining and developing services.
Who we’re looking for
- You will be a Registered Nurse.
- Be used to working in teams with minimum supervision.
- Experience of working in an acute environment on a cardiac ward.
- Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration.
Working Hours
Variation of long days, nights, earlies and lates.
Contract Type
Permanent.
