Responsibilities
As a Senior Cross Sectional Radiographer with leadership responsibilities, you will:
- Deliver a high-quality CT and/or MRI imaging service, ensuring patient safety and excellent clinical outcomes.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of the imaging department.
- Act as deputy to the Imaging Manager, stepping in to lead the team in their absence.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop radiographers, helpers, and students to maintain exceptional standards.
- Lead by example, embedding Spire’s values and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee equipment checks, compliance with safety regulations, and support audit and quality assurance processes.
- Support service planning and innovation, helping the department to meet patient and business needs.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Radiography with HCPC registration.
- Proven experience as a Radiographer in an imaging department with CT and/or MRI expertise.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD and professional development.
- Demonstratable strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to deputise for senior management.
- Previous experience in a team lead/ managerial role
- Experience in private healthcare.
- Involvement in audits, clinical governance, or service development.
- MRI Cardiac Scanning experience.
