The opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join our flexible staff bank. The role would suit an experienced Physiotherapist, looking to join a supportive, clinically excellent and close-knit team, focusing on providing effective, evidence-based physiotherapy interventions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Duties and responsibilities:
- The role will involve the delivering of an excellent standard of assessment and treatment in an inpatient setting.
- You will treat a mainly orthopaedic caseload with some abdominal and gynaecological post-surgical patients also.
- Provide highly skilled and specialised assessment and treatment for patients within the in-patient orthopaedic service.
- Independently manage own caseload.
- Mentor and support junior staff depending on experience.
- Demonstrate clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice.
- Be involved in physio pre-operative assessments including discharge planning for the more complex patients.
- Be part of the weekend rota usually working either Saturday or Sunday depending on service needs. Weekend hours are inclusive of contracted hours with lieu time taken off weekday hours.
- Be involved in service development, team audits, in-service training and staff development.
Who we’re looking for:
- HCPC registration with no restriction on practice.
- You will hold a BSc in Physiotherapy.
- Previous experience in orthopaedics or previous experience as a physiotherapist in the NHS or private sector with an interest in moving to orthopaedics.
- Evidence of CPD in management and other clinically related and relevant subjects.
