Spire Parkway Hospital is currently recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly Pre-Assessment Team on a permanent basis for 37.5 hours per week. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and wants to work flexibly in a supportive environment. Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull, West Midlands offers a comprehensive range of private hospital services. Our hospital is rated Good by the CQC for all parts of the inspection except for Patient Care, which is rated Outstanding.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting with pre-operative assessments including observations
- Supporting nurses and clinicians in preparing patients for their upcoming procedures
- Accurately documenting patient information and escalating any concerns
- Providing reassurance and clear information to patients
- Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment at all times
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role within a hospital or clinical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in taking basic clinical observations and carrying out phlebotomy procedures
- Ability to work flexibly across shifts, including weekdays and weekends as required
- A compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to patient care
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or a willingness to work towards this qualification) is desirable
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday and potential Saturdays (must be flexible)
