Spire Shawfair Park Hospital in Edinburgh has an exciting opportunity for an Ophthalmology Diagnostic Technician to join their experienced and dynamic team, on a bank basis.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Deliver and maintain high professional standards of ophthalmic imaging and diagnostic services to patients by performing, verifying and recording results of a specialist clinical diagnostic imaging service.
- Responsible for the safe use of specialist equipment and adhere to the health and safety policies.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Ensure environment and equipment is clean, fit for purpose and ready to use.
Who we are looking for:
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within an ophthalmic clinical setting.
- Previous ophthalmic diagnostic experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided; a keen desire to learn is required.
- Ability to work independently and within the time constraints of a busy clinic to ensure optimal patient flow.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills and be able to pay close attention to detail.
- Be comfortable with Microsoft Office and computerised systems for data input and review.
