Job Summary:

We are looking for a driven Programme Manager to join our team. You will be a key player, helping us drive forward our ambitious goals. In this pivotal role, you will have full accountability for the portfolio of engineering development projects, from successful initiation, development, and launch of groundbreaking new products into the market. From ideation to commercialisation, you will manage all aspects of the project with precision, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met in alignment with Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS) standard processes. This exciting opportunity calls for demonstrable programme management capabilities, extensive experience of product development, and the ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams. This role reports into the Head of the Project Management Office and in principle will be deployed onto projects within Biopure, part of the WMFTS Group. The role is site based in the BioPure facility in Havant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the initiation and delivery of multiple concurrent projects, assessing feasibility, defining scope, and developing project-level budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Carry out robust project planning - this will include setting team goals and project objectives, defining roles and producing schedules and timelines for tasks in accordance with the needs of the business.
  • Offer solutions for the teams when they face project and program challenges, providing a pragmatic and guiding voice and promoting excellence and resilience.
  • Ensure projects comply with Watson Marlow governance standards and process, including reporting, documentation, and deliverables.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and consistent performance.
  • Monitor and control project progress using KPIs and visual management tools, escalating risks and issues as required.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation actions to maintain delivery to time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Work closely with Engineering, NPI, Strategic Sourcing, and other stakeholders to manage priorities, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
  • Support delivery of projects across the BioPure portfolio, balancing workload and contributing to effective portfolio execution.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, budgets, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Facilitate clear, timely communication on project progress, risks, and issues to team members and stakeholders.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage NPI projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and communication across multidisciplinary teams.
  • A results-driven attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate risks effectively.
  • A professional accreditation ideally (e.g. APM).
