Role Overview:
The Machine Setter/Operator will set and operate CNC lathes.
Responsibilities:
- Setting computer numerically controlled (CNC) lathes
- Producing parts to drawing, deburring, cleaning and packaging to set procedures
- Ensuring excellent quality through the inspection of parts using measuring equipment such as gauges, verniers and micrometers
- Working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), production rates, workplace organisation, front line operator asset care (FLOAC), maintenance and cleanliness of machine equipment
- Understanding and complying with Company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) practices, identifying areas for improvement and supporting related initiatives
- Engaging, suggesting and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required
Previous Experience:
- Basic CNC setting and operating experience
- Basic experience with measuring equipment
- Working within a production environment
- Working with basic computer skills
- Gaining NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Manufacturing
