We are seeking a talented and motivated Logistics Operative to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:The Logistics Operative will be responsible for carrying out assigned logistics tasks across all areas of logistics responsibility – goods-in, materials handling, warehousing, storing, packing and distribution.
- Carry out a range of logistics duties as allocated by the Team Leader or Logistics Manager.
- Be responsible for the Health & Safety of yourself and others in line with our EHS Roles and Responsibilities.
- Prepare and complete required documentation and fulfil operational procedures and ERP processes.
- Maintain a flexible approach, working across all logistics areas where business demands require.
- Keep good 6S standards within the department making sure all rubbish is placed in bins and not left on the floor, that all machines are placed in the correct locations when finished with and that work surfaces are kept tidy at all times.
- Utilise lean methodology to optimise all processes within logistics to ensure we are lean and efficient in all that we do.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable ISO standards ie, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO50001.
- Self-analyse your performance; plan and implement your own improvement.
- Ensure that all documentation is completed as required and in a timely way.
- Ensure that the correct quality controls and measures are adhered to; supporting the quality team on RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action) as required.
- Actively report near misses and support activities to deliver improvements.
This is what you’ll need to be successful in this role:
- Previous experience of working within logistics including materials handling, packing, warehousing, storing and distribution of goods.
- Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across a diverse group of people.
- Flexible, high motivation with a can-do attitude.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarisation of IT tools – including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Experience of being involved in investigations of non-conformance and root cause analysis.
