Overview
The Senior HRIS Analyst is a hands‑on fixed‑term role responsible for improving the stability, effectiveness, and overall quality of Watson‑Marlow's people systems environment. The role requires a strong grasp of HR systems, data integrity, operational processes, and the ability to work at pace and with judgment across day‑to‑day support and longer‑term improvement activity. The immediate priority is to create a more reliable HR systems foundation: improving system administration, strengthening data quality, tightening processes and controls, and working with HR teams to ensure people information is accurate, consistent, and trusted.
Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day stabilisation of Watson‑Marlow's HR systems, focusing on reliability, user experience, and operational effectiveness.
- Improve accuracy, consistency, and completeness of people information across HR systems to strengthen reporting, analytics, and decision‑making.
- Review current HR systems processes, controls, and data flows, identify root causes of issues, and deliver practical improvements that strengthen quality and consistency.
- Provide hands‑on support for system administration, configuration, workflows, security, and routine change activity as a senior specialist point of contact for complex issues.
- Coordinate HRIS issues, priorities, and improvement activity across HR, IT, Group HRIS, and external vendors to ensure timely resolution and clear ownership.
- Work closely with the Reward and People Analytics team to support reporting, data quality, analytics requirements, and future systems capability.
- Review connectivity between HR systems and related platforms, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities to improve data flow across the landscape.
- Contribute practical input to the longer‑term HR systems roadmap, drawing on current issues, dependencies, business needs, and improvement priorities.
- Document key system processes, ownership, controls, and ways of working to improve clarity, resilience, and continuity.
- Manage workload effectively across operational support and longer‑term improvement activity, prioritising what matters most.
Qualifications
- Strong experience working in a HRIS, HR systems, or HR operations role, with a track record of improving data quality, system effectiveness, and user experience.
- Hands‑on experience of HR systems administration, workflows, configuration, and user support, including understanding of how HRIS platforms integrate with external applications via APIs.
- Experience with Cornerstone Core or a comparable HR platform such as Workday, SuccessFactors, etc.
- Good understanding of HR processes, system controls, data governance, and the importance of accurate, well‑maintained people data.
- Ability to identify issues, assess root causes, and deliver practical improvements with limited oversight.
- Confidence working with HR, IT, Group HRIS, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and move activity forward.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a focus on data accuracy, control, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of delivery in a busy environment.

- Experience supporting integrations between HR systems and other business platforms.
- Experience supporting systems improvements, implementation activity, or roadmap planning.
- Experience working with reporting, people data, or data validation activity.
- Experience working in a multi‑site or multi‑country organisation.
