Role Overview:
Primary role is to undertake steam trap surveys on customers' sites using an ultrasonic testing device to acoustically monitor the condition of traps. To log all relevant data associated with the installation of the trap so a report can be generated by the back office. Advise on the suitability of installed steam traps and the pipework arrangement. You will also be required to fulfil other services such as light digital installation, steam quality testing and basic plant and equipment reviews.
Your Objectives And Responsibilities Will Focus On:
- Direct impact on operation of the business within own area, collaborate with other teams, suppliers, and customers that are both internal and external but have shared interests.
- Conduct trap surveys on customers' plants in and around the North East but on occasion there will be a need to travel and stay away visiting other parts of the country where work dictates.
- Working safely at all times and having a proactive approach to managing the safety of yourself and others.
- Complete dynamic risk assessments to assess working conditions and surroundings and be able to have behavioural based safety conversations with customers.
- To meet appropriate KPI’s and objectives.
- To co‑operate with various stakeholders to ensure customer need is met.
- To promote Customer First and provide exemplary customer care.
- Ensure all information and data gathered on customer sites is captured with high levels of accuracy.
- Effectively manage resource to ensure tasks required are performed in the appropriate priority.
- Effectively communicate with team and manager, ensuring any problems/barriers affecting realisation of potential business or opportunities for improvement are highlighted with resolutions where possible.
- Looking after issued individual and departmental equipment and ensuring it is always safe and operational with any defects flagged for action.
