9 Months Fixed Term Contract. This role supports our Information Systems (IS) teams and our Learning Academy team. It will play a key role in supporting financial decision-making and prioritisation of spending for our IS and Academy budgets. This role is responsible for preparing, developing, and analysing financial information to ensure management has the insights needed for stability, growth, and profitability and sits within the Finance Business Partnering team, offering opportunities for skill development and cross-team collaboration.
Your Objectives And Responsibilities Will Focus On…
- Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reports, including profit and loss statements and internal reporting submissions.
- Supporting monthly close meetings, providing meaningful analysis, variance reporting, and KPI insights.
- Project tracking and ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and strategic goals.
- Developing financial models and systems to support decision-making, investment appraisals, and long-term planning.
- Coordinating budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, challenging spending assumptions, and promoting the Central Finance team.
- Supporting ad-hoc financial projects, purchase order management, and audit queries.
Your Previous Experience Is Likely To Include…
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Experience within the finance department of a commercial organisation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills (including financial modelling and reporting).
- Experience in financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with Power BI and other financial technologies.
