We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Process Support Engineer to join our Process Engineering team. In this hands‑on role, you will support production operations, lead and contribute to improvement projects, and play a key part in developing the future of our manufacturing capability. You will work closely with the Lead Engineer, Production teams, and key stakeholders to implement new technologies, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day support to production areas, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient manufacturing.
- Support and drive quality improvements across Assembly and Operations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, suppliers and contractors to resolve issues and progress activities.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and contribute to engineering and manufacturing improvement projects.
- Use Lean and Agile techniques to deliver cost, efficiency and performance improvements.
- Support the introduction of new equipment and processes from concept through to production handover.
- Work with the Lead Engineer to deliver new technologies and support capital investment projects.
- Lead and support implementation of “Future Factory” solutions designed to ensure long‑term capability and capacity.
- Contribute to projects that improve MTTR/MTBF, process stability, and product quality.
Your Experience
- Technical engineering background and experience within fast‑paced, diverse manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of assembly and machining processes.
- Experience applying Lean and Agile manufacturing techniques.
- Understanding of project management principles.
- Experience with automation, robotics, or leading engineering change projects.
- PLC or programming capability (desirable).
Qualifications & Knowledge
- HNC/HND (BTEC Level 4) in Manufacturing or Engineering discipline.
- Completed mechanical or electrical apprenticeship (preferred).
- Knowledge of CNC machine tools and machining methods.
- Experience with assembly automation.
- Degree in Engineering or related field (beneficial).
- IOSH or equivalent safety qualification.
