Logistics Operative (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Location:Cheltenham, UK (On-site)
Working hours:
Mon – Thurs 06:00-14:00 (30 min paid break)
Fri 06:00-12:00 (30 min paid break)

Role Overview:

Are you ready to be part of a fast-paced logistics team that keeps operations running smoothly? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-orientedLogistics Operatorto join our team in Cheltenham. In this shift-based role, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of logistics tasks including goods receipt, stock handling, order picking, packing, and despatching, all while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on…

  • Performing key logistics tasks across the Goods Receiving Bay, North Stores, and Distribution Centre.
  • Ensuring customer orders meet On Time to Request (OTTR) targets.
  • Using MRP systems and databases to maintain accurate records and transactions.
  • Operating material handling equipment (MHE) safely and effectively.
  • Supporting recycling and waste disposal routines.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Upholding Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) standards and contributing to improvement initiatives.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement projects and driving your own development.

Your previous experience is likely to include….

  • Working in a high-volume warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Using handheld scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Operating various MHE including ride-on, forklift, and reach trucks (valid licences required).
  • Applying safe EHS practices and understanding their commercial impact.
  • Leading or contributing to team discussions and decisions.
  • Managing workload effectively to meet dynamic deadlines.
