Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Production Operative - Extrusion Lates to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Company Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Policies, reporting any potentially dangerous issues/faults to your direct Team Leader or Production Manager including but not limited to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude to training and personal development.
• Monitor the performance of the process ensuring maximum output is achieved at all times.
• Carry out and document the correct quality control checks for each job performed, completing all production paperwork.
• Work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.

What you’ll be doing

• Adhere to correct procedures.
• Ensure that all documentation is completed at the correct time.
• Adhere to safe working practices at all times.
• Carry out safety checks to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the department and operate in line with training provided.
• Ensure adherence to 5S in the department.
• Transfer to other areas of the department as requested.
• Ensure that the department’s machines are kept in good working condition and report any major maintenance issues immediately.
• Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and related regulations.
• Comply with the Company Safety, Health and Environmental Policies.
• Wear all required PPE at all times where applicable.
• Work includes PTFE extrusion and/or other materials.
• Work is primarily manual handling, some of which is heavy.

Skills/Experience Qualifications:

• Good level of numeracy and general education.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Experience:

• Manufacturing background and understanding of manufacturing process.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and keen eye for detail.
• Focused on target completion and proven ability to achieve results.

• Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate with others.
