Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Assembly Team Leader to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the efficient manufacturing of company products and maintain a high performing assembly line aligned with company standard operating procedures.
- Ensure a team of operatives complies with health and safety standards at all times and maintains documentation in accordance with BS EN ISO 14644 clean room requirements, BS EN ISO 9001 and cGMP standards.
- Ensure assembly of single-use fluid technology paths is carried out in accordance with the manufacturing plan.
- Oversee efficient assembling of WMArchitect products and maintain product quality through regular work-in-progress reviews.
- Address faults or defects, escalating through the relevant channels when required.
- Organise, prioritise and distribute daily workload within the team of WMArchitect Operatives.
- Undertake assembly line setup, operational supervision and line clearance activities.
- Lead the training of WMArchitect Operatives to develop a multiskilled and engaged team.
- Maintain relevant documentation to ensure compliance with BS EN ISO 14644, BS EN ISO 9001 and cGMP standards.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 Environmental Standards and all health and safety rules, contributing to health and safety initiatives.
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly cleaning operations in the cleanroom meet company procedures for ISO 14644 compliance.
- Collaborate with other Manufacturing Team Leaders and Operators to ensure efficient flow of manufactured products.
- Input and maintain data in production support software; manage sickness absence and annual leave for the team.
- Lead the daily Level 1 Self-Directed Team board for WMArchitect and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills/Experience (Qualifications)
- Demonstrable experience on an assembly line with manual assembly techniques for plastic injection moulded products.
- Experience leading a team to deliver outcomes aligned to a production plan, ideally in a medical/pharmaceutical environment.
- Awareness of BS EN ISO 14644 clean room requirements, BS EN ISO 9001 and cGMP standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clear objectives and delivery across the team.
- Ability to identify problems and implement timely solutions to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Ability to lead the WMArchitect team and develop strong working relationships across the business.
- Competent IT user with Microsoft Office and production support software.
