The role

We are seeking a Strategic Sales Development Manager to drive growth across key accounts, focusing on consultative selling and the promotion of innovative decarbonisation technology solutions. This is a strategic client-facing role where you will build trusted relationships, identify new revenue opportunities, and support organisations on their journey to Net Zero. You will play a pivotal role in shaping long-term sales strategies, leading commercial activity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable growth across the UK market.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term strategic account plans to drive revenue growth
  • Identify and prioritise new business opportunities within key accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders
  • Lead commercial negotiations and maximise revenue potential
  • Deliver tailored consultative solutions aligned to decarbonisation strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales engineers and marketing, to align strategies
  • Conduct regular business reviews and provide performance insights
  • Support delivery of customer Net Zero roadmaps and decarbonisation initiatives
  • Represent the business at industry events, forums, and conferences
  • Travel nationally to maintain and grow key account relationships

Your experience

  • Proven track record in driving sales growth within complex engineering or technical environments
  • Experience in consultative or solution-based sales, ideally at a national level
  • Strong background in managing key accounts and developing long-term client relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to manage commercial activities and influence stakeholders
  • Experience working with or understanding decarbonisation, energy, or industrial technologies is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams
