Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

We are looking for a Service Engineer to join our team, responsible for the commissioning, servicing, and repair of company equipment. You will deliver high-quality customer support on-site, as well as provide training to customers, ensuring exceptional service standards and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with service coordinators to ensure work is effectively planned and delivered
  • Carry out commissioning, servicing, and repairs in line with contractual obligations
  • Prepare thoroughly for service visits, ensuring all required documentation (e.g. drawings, manuals) is available
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels to meet service agreement requirements
  • Clearly communicate any outstanding issues to customers and outline next steps before leaving site
  • Complete detailed job reports and obtain customer sign-off
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and customer experience

Experience

  • Electrical or mechanical engineering background
  • Experience working with relevant product ranges and systems
  • Knowledge of steam processes and instrumentation (or similar technical environments)

Skills

  • Recognised electrical or mechanical qualification
  • Valid CSCS Engineering Services Skill Card / CCNSG (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload under pressure
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Technical knowledge and problem-solving capability
  • Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to work
