Finance Leader – UK Supply

The role

We're looking for a commercially minded Finance Leader to join our UK Supply team, partnering closely with senior manufacturing leaders to drive business performance, strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

As a key member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team, you'll act as the principal financial advisor to the business, providing insight and challenge to support sustainable growth, improve operational performance and strengthen governance.

This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for financial planning, performance reporting, risk management, investment governance and continuous improvement across the site.

You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team spanning Finance, Data & Insights, Inventory Control and Demand Planning, helping to build capability and deliver measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with the Manufacturing Leadership Team, providing expert financial guidance and insight to support business decisions.
  • Lead and develop teams across Finance, Data & Insights, Inventory Control and Demand Planning.
  • Drive financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and performance reporting activities.
  • Develop medium and long-term financial and operational plans aligned to business strategy.
  • Establish effective governance frameworks and ensure robust financial controls.
  • Monitor and analyse operational and financial performance, translating data into actionable insights.
  • Lead performance review processes and ensure clear accountability for outcomes.
  • Evaluate capital investment opportunities and challenge business cases to maximise return on investment.
  • Oversee enterprise risk management activities, ensuring effective controls and mitigation plans are in place.
  • Support transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, tracking benefits and delivering measurable value.
  • Promote financial awareness and performance focus across the manufacturing organisation.

Your skills

  • Significant leadership experience within manufacturing finance, operational finance or business performance environments.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead multifunctional teams.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, major systems changes or business transformation programmes.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, labour costing and production processes.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insight.
  • Confident communicator who can engage effectively with audiences at all levels.
  • Able to challenge constructively and influence decision-making across multiple functions.
  • Organised and structured, with the ability to prioritise and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Resilient, adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong knowledge of ERP systems and business applications.
