Working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams — including Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and external partners — you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and delivering innovative engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration, leading multidisciplinary project teams and regular project reviews.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and internal governance procedures.
  • Implement structured quality processes, including design validation and change control.
  • Monitor project expenditure and manage budgets, highlighting and resolving variances.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on status, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, best practice adoption, and process optimisation.

Your experience:

  • Proven experience in project management within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.
  • Practical understanding of engineering principles (mechanical, electrical, systems, or industrial).
  • Experience delivering projects using recognised methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK, APM).
  • Relevant engineering or technical qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent).

Desirable:

  • Experience with manufacturing, design, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Formal project management certification (e.g. APM PMQ, PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).
  • Knowledge of steam systems, thermal energy solutions, or process control technologies.

Your skills:

  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with varying complexity.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation, and decision‑making capabilities.
