Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Assembler Tester to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Pumps Assembly team to produce and assemble high quality peristaltic pump drives and heads.
- Operate in manufacturing, calibrating, and testing of company products in accordance with specifications, procedures, and quality standards with safety as a priority.
- Embrace and champion LEAN production principles to eliminate waste and continually improve processes.
- Manufacture and assemble WMFTS products in compliance with official documentation such as BOMs, GA drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly procedures, and test specifications.
- Select relevant components for main assemblies and sub-assemblies, using internal stock control processes.
- Follow and adhere to strict work instructions, ensuring test procedures and results are recorded per departmental procedures.
- Promote quality and the right-first-time approach; report and record any quality issues.
- Ensure Kanban signals are actioned as part of the material replenishment system.
- Prioritize daily workload in Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP to meet customer demand and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Coordinate replenishment of sub-assembly stocks with the Kanban system.
- Be flexible in relocating to various product cells as required by business needs.
- Assist with training of colleagues in new and existing products when required.
- Self-manage online training and IT-related production tasks.
- Maintain a tidy, safe working area and promote health, safety and wellbeing.
- Support shift base rotation if business demand dictates.
- Provide support for end-of-line processes and other production activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the pumps value stream; work with Team Leaders to develop and implement improvements.
- Assist with process validation of new equipment.
- Support 5S activities to keep the workspace efficient and safe.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions as part of process improvement investigations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Medical device manufacturing background would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience of 5S processes.
- A keen eye for detail and willingness to use available resources to drive process improvement.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing customer demands.
