Role Overview:

Join Spirax Sarco as an Area Sales Engineer for the Central London & Northern Home Counties region. This field-based role offers a competitive salary, bonus, company car, and a comprehensive benefits package. As a key member of our UK & ROI Sales team, you will be instrumental in driving sales and profit growth across a diverse customer base, including end users, resellers, contractors, and OEMs. You’ll be part of a globally respected engineering company whose products impact industries from food and beverage to healthcare and pharmaceuticals.

Your objectives and responsibilities

Your core mission will be to identify, drive, and deliver sales and profit growth through solution selling and strategic account management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing territory action plans to meet business growth targets.
  • Managing customer accounts through proactive sales calls and exemplary service.
  • Generating and maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Applying engineering expertise to develop tailored customer value propositions.
  • Collaborating across internal teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Maintaining accurate records and forecasts using CRM and business intelligence tools.

Your previous experience is likely to include…

To be successful in this role, you should bring:

  • Proven experience in a technical or commercial customer-facing role.
  • Field-based technical sales experience.
  • A track record of successful solution selling and opportunity progression.
  • Experience in steam or process industries, particularly in sectors like hospitals, pharmaceuticals, or food & beverage.
  • Familiarity with business management practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
