The Role

As a Junior Software Developer at Spirax Group, you’ll kick‑start your career working on real, production‑grade systems that support global customers and sustainability‑focused engineering solutions. You’ll join a supportive, collaborative environment with structured mentoring, team rotations, and exposure to modern AI‑assisted software development practices. This is a graduate‑level role designed to help you grow quickly while contributing meaningful functionality from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, test and iterate production‑grade software using modern engineering practices
  • Contribute to cloud‑native services, APIs, integrations, data workflows and industrial IoT solutions
  • Work in an AI‑assisted engineering environment using Spec‑Driven Development (SSD)
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers across the full software lifecycle, from specification to implementation
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation workflows and automated testing
  • Rotate across engineering teams to gain experience in multiple technical domains

Your Experience

  • A recent graduate or early‑career developer with an interest in modern software engineering
  • Academic or practical experience with software development (through degree projects, placements or internships)
  • Exposure to cloud technologies, APIs, DevOps concepts or data‑driven systems is desirable
  • A strong interest in learning new tools, technologies and development methodologies

Your Skills

  • Foundational programming skills (experience with TypeScript or similar languages is advantageous)
  • Understanding of basic software engineering principles and development lifecycles
  • A collaborative mindset with good communication skills
  • Curiosity, problem‑solving ability and a proactive approach to learning
  • Interest in AI‑assisted development, cloud platforms and sustainable technology solutions
