Operational Accountant in Falmouth

Location: WMFTS UK - Bickland Water Road

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Operational Accountant to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist departmental planning and forecasting cycles
• Assist in operational variance analysis
• Site cost analysis
• Sales and Inventory reporting and analysis
• Sales order and backlog reporting
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements
• Assist in month-end close processes
• Balance sheet reconciliations (Stock etc.)
• Journal postings
• Meeting internal and external audit requirements
• Assisting with year-end standard costing and reporting
• Support the ECO (Engineering change orders) process & review of BOM’s/routings
• Support and oversee Perpetual Inventory team of 2
• Cross functional collaboration working across multiple levels of the organisation
• Any other ad hoc tasks as requested by Line Manager

Who you’ll be working with:

You will be working with multiple stakeholders (both Finance and non-finance) across the business.

Skills/Experience:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify priorities
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Effective problem solver with a positive and decisive approach
• Strong communication skills, able to present complex information clearly to a range of stakeholders
• Good organisational and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Experienced in manufacturing finance, including costing, inventory and margin analysis is desirable; other experience will be considered
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP systems and Power BI advantageous
