Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Operational Accountant to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist departmental planning and forecasting cycles
- Assist in operational variance analysis
- Site cost analysis
- Sales and Inventory reporting and analysis
- Sales order and backlog reporting
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements
- Assist in month-end close processes
- Balance sheet reconciliations (Stock etc.)
- Journal postings
- Meeting internal and external audit requirements
- Assisting with year-end standard costing and reporting
- Support the ECO (Engineering change orders) process & review of BOM’s/routings
- Support and oversee Perpetual Inventory team of 2
- Cross functional collaboration working across multiple levels of the organisation
- Any other ad hoc tasks as requested by Line Manager
Who you’ll be working with:
You will be working with multiple stakeholders (both Finance and non-finance) across the business.
Skills/Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify priorities
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Effective problem solver with a positive and decisive approach
- Strong communication skills, able to present complex information clearly to a range of stakeholders
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Experienced in manufacturing finance, including costing, inventory and margin analysis is desirable; other experience will be considered
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP systems and Power BI advantageous
