The role
We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant to join a growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting strategic decision‑making, and driving business performance. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll provide insightful analysis and ensure robust financial controls, helping the business achieve its growth objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Deliver financial reporting and insights to senior stakeholders
- Monitor financial performance and identify trends and risks
- Assist with year‑end processes and audit requirements
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Business partner across departments to support decision‑making
- Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and systems
Experience
- Part‑qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a management accounting or similar finance role
- Experience working with budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Experience using finance systems and Excel for analysis and reporting
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator, able to work with non‑finance stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel
