Group IT - Finance Manager

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

The role:

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead the Group IT finance function, providing financial insight, planning, forecasting and business partnering support to senior stakeholders across the organisation. This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring robust financial controls and supporting the delivery of strategic initiatives within a global IT function.

Key responsibilities:

Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles for the Group IT function.
Oversee financial controls, processes and compliance with Group financial policies and governance requirements.
Review and sign off monthly management accounts, journals, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting submissions.
Present financial performance, forecasts and insights to senior stakeholders, including Finance Directors and executive leadership.
Manage intercompany recharge processes across business units.
Provide financial guidance and recommendations to support strategic IT initiatives and investment decisions.
Support capital expenditure business cases and ensure appropriate accounting treatment of costs.
Lead, coach and develop a finance team of three colleagues.
Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, reporting and controls.

Your experience:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least five years' post-qualification experience.
Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner within a commercial organisation.
Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning experience.
Experience managing and developing teams within a finance function.
Experience supporting an IT department or working within a technology-focused environment would be advantageous.
Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making at leadership level.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and accountability.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
