Job Description

We are looking for an IT Install Engineer to join a growing IT services company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, installation, configuration, and deployment of IT hardware, software, routers, this exciting project will involve travel around the UK and will mainly be based in Essex .

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, Install and configure IT hardware, mainly for one project, but including servers, workstations, routers, and networking devices.
  • Set up and deploy software applications, ensuring functionality and performance.
  • Conduct system testing to verify installations and troubleshoot any technical issues.
  • Provide on-site and remote support to clients during installations and post-installation.
  • Maintain installation documentation and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Work closely with other staff and clients to streamline the delivery of the solution.
  • Ensure installations are completed on schedule..

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT installations or a similar technical role would be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, networking, and software deployment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues effectively.
  • Understanding of IT security and data protection best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server) are advantageous.
  • Current clean driving licence
