Location: Hybrid: London Studio and home
Duration: 12 months, Paid Student placement

Spiral is a design consultancy and buying agency specialising in home furnishings. Spiral works with over 70 factories in India to develop hundreds of products a year within the furniture industry.
We are seeking a junior designer for a one year student placement to join our team in London. You must be passionate about designing high quality commercial products, with an emphasis on home furnishings in particular furniture. This is an opportunity to work with high-profile clients. This position is for students currently enrolled in a UK Furniture Design focused Bachelors degree, and are seeking a 1 year placement for their 3rd year in Industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creating CAD visuals for external presentations.
- Receiving briefs and designing ranges for clients.
- Working with the creative team to expand on existing ranges and products.
- Creating technical drawings to send to factories for sampling and production.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent Solidworks skills
- Knowledge of rendering software
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
Please note, for this role you must be enrolled in a UK based university and be looking for a year in industry placement. You must have the right to work in the UK for the entire duration of the contract.
