We're looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our workshop team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with tools, machinery and engineering components and takes pride in producing work to a high standard.
You’ll play an important part in assembling our screening products, as well as helping to keep the workshop, stock and goods-in/goods-out processes running smoothly.
What will you be doing?
- Assemble screens and components accurately using engineering drawings and specifications.
- Use a range of hand and power tools.
- Check your work to ensure products meet the required quality standards.
- Receive, check and store incoming materials and components.
- Carry out regular stock checks and help maintain accurate stock records.
- Check goods coming into and leaving the workshop, reporting any discrepancies or damage.
- Keep stock areas organised and efficient.
- Help maintain a clean, tidy and safe workshop environment.
- Clean and organise work areas after each project.
- Support workshop safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
- Paint components and parts when required, ensuring a quality finish.
- Follow appropriate safety procedures when handling paints and associated materials.
Quality
- Follow quality control procedures throughout the assembly process.
- Identify and resolve issues that could affect the quality of the finished product.
- Take pride in producing work that meets the required standards.
